A Carver County permit is required for any demolition work done in the County. A permit from the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency may also be required. Contact the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency to determine if their permit is required.

An agricultural building is any structure located on a parcel of 20 acres or more that is used exclusively for agricultural purposes and is not subject to state building code. The principal use must be for any of the following activities. 

• The production and storage of fruits, vegetables, herbs, floriculture, grains, seeds, trees, forage, cider, maple sap, honey, or other crops.
• The keeping, raising, feeding, breeding, or production of animals whether on range, pasture, or feedlot (cattle, sheep, hogs, poultry, ostriches, emus, alpaca, farmed elk, farmed deer, farmed buffalo and the like).
• Storage of operational farm machinery and equipment.
