Mental Health Local Advisory Council Meetings are held on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 4pm. at the First Street Center in Waconia.

The Carver County Mental Health Advisory Council is comprised of adults with lived experience of mental illness, family members of children or adults with lived experience of mental illness, and providers. We work toward improving the needs of those who are experiencing mental illness by educating ourselves on what the needs – both met and unmet – are in Carver County. We then report to the Board of Commissioners regarding our findings and make recommendations on what mental health needs require attention. The council may have up to 14 members.

Meetings are open to the public and we encourage people with interests in mental health needs and services to attend.
