Carver County Veteran Services will provide Carver County veterans free rides to the Minneapolis VA Medical Center (VAMC), the Shakopee VA Community Based Outreach Clinic (CBOC), and the St. Paul Regional Office’s Compensation & Pension (C&P) Examination Clinic. Unfortunately, we are not able to provide rides to other clinics in the metro area that offer C&P examinations. We offer these services for appointments that comply with the following guidelines:

• Minneapolis VAMC - Make appointments between 8:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Monday - Thursday.
• Shakopee VA CBOC - Make appointments between 8:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Wednesdays. 
  • Note: Appointments cannot be made on a federally or county observed holiday.

To schedule a ride to either site, please contact the Veteran Service Office at (952) 442-2323 no later than 11:00AM on the business day prior to the appointment. Note: Requests for rides can be left as a voice message. To reduce high-call volume, please do not call repeatedly, please leave one voice message for your appointment.

Call 911 if it is an emergency.  The Veteran Services Transportation Program is not equipped with the equipment or qualified staff to respond to emergency calls, nor does the program have the flexibility to make hasty additions, adjustments, or changes to the daily schedule.
