CareerForce in Chaska
CareerForce in Chaska is now open either in person or virtually. Appointments for in-person visits are not required, but you may want to call ahead as there are capacity limits. Virtual appointments may be an option in some instance, please contact (952) 361-1711 for more information.
CareerForce is Minnesota's rebranded workforce center system supporting career development opportunities and talent recruitment needs. There are 50 Career Force locations around the state. All of our programs and services have improved to drive prosperous outcomes for career seekers, employers and all partners. CareerForce is here to help job seekers find a career that helps everyone strive, and to help Employers to find talent they need. Please feel free to stop by and visit us! We welcome all job seekers and employers!
CareerForce offers support and resources for job seekers. The staff oversees employment and training programs and provides workshops and training events. CareerForce also offers employer services and programs for local companies.
CareerForce in Chaska is now partnering with Metro Transit to issue Transit Assistance Program cards.

Employer of the Day Events:
The CareerForce lab is located at 602 E. 4th Street in Chaska is open to the public five days a week from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday. Some of the resources available are:
- Computers to be used for job search or work related purposes.
- Resources to assist in your job search.
- Job Leads from the Southwest Metro area.
- Printer, copier, scanner and fax machine that can be used for job search purposes.
- Resource Room Specialist who can help to answer your questions.
- Information on community resources for those who are homeless, low-income, or at risk of homelessness.
Minnesota Family Investment Plan (MFIP) / Diversionary Work Program (DWP)
Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program - Employment and Training Program
Referred to as SNAP - E and T this program is for individuals ages 18 to 50 who are currently receiving SNAP food support. For information on SNAP Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) call Intake at (952) 361-1600.
Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA)
The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) program is for adults who are low-income. It is designed to serve the "universal client" with priority given to certain target groups. A person must be screened for eligibility before receiving any training funding. For more information call (952) 361-1711.
It is essential that you fill out the application completely and provide all needed information and verification so that we can determine eligibility. May need to provide additional information or eligibility criteria.
In-School-Youth Program
Applications are now open-to apply fill out the In School-Youth Program application.
The last two pages (Youth Eligibility Verification) must be filled out by a counselor or work coordinator at your school.
You may either:
- Print off the last two pages and give it to your counselor or work coordinator and have them return it to CareerForce Chaska Attn: Gary Jones or Josie Morrison.
- Email them the document and have them return it to Gary Jones (gjones@carvercountymn.gov) or Josie Morrison (jmorrison@carvercountymn.gov)
