Counties are required by Minnesota Statute 260E.02 to establish a Multidisciplinary Child Protection Team to provide public and professional education, develop resources for prevention, intervention and treatment, and to provide case consultation to the local social service’s agency or other interested community-based agencies. The community-based agencies defined by law include schools, Head Start, mental health collaborative, early childhood and family education programs, or other agencies serving children and families.

In connection with the mission of the Health and Human Service’s department, Carver County encourages community agencies to make a referral to the Multidisciplinary Child Protection Team to ensure the best interests of children and families in Carver County.

If you are a community agency and you would like to make a referral to the team, please contact Intake at (952) 361-1600.
