Thanks to all patron's efforts to maintain a sanitary, pleasant, and safe area where everyone can enjoy the outdoors with their beloved dogs! . We remind everyone using County Regional Parks that the law requires you to pick up after your pet.

***Please Be Advised: Trails may be icy and/or wet and muddy depending on current weather conditions.***

The off-leash dog area has:
  • About .8 miles (.4 wood chipped and .4 aggregate) of walking trails
  • A separate small dog area for dogs under 25 pounds
  • A fenced pond
  • Two large open spaces for interactive play with other dogs
  • A water fountain for humans and pets available from May - September

Funding for the development of the off-leash dog area was a partnership between the City of Chanhassen, City of Shorewood / Shorewood Parks Foundation, and Carver County.  For additional information about the off-leash dog area, please contact the Carver County Parks Office at (952) 466-5250.
