County receives national award for RCP

Carver County received a national award from the Educational Partnership for Innovation in Communities (EPIC) Network at the Fifth Annual Sustainable City Conference in San Diego on March 13-16, 2016 for its role in the Resilient Communities Project.

Partnership Description:

For the 2015–2016 academic year, the University of Minnesota's Resilient Communities Project will collaborate with Carver County and its partners on 32 projects that will engage dozens of courses at the University of Minnesota and provide hands-on, applied research opportunities to hundreds of graduate, professional, and upper-division undergraduate students.

Projects have been identified by the County and its partners, and will be led by staff. Carver County, City of Chaska, City of Victoria, City of Watertown, Carver County CDA, Eastern Carver County School District, and SouthWest Transit will all lead projects in this community collaboration.
