Disposal
When a specific item just can’t be reused or recycled, disposal may be the only option. For appropriate disposal options, contact a garbage hauler to set up collection service or visit a landfill or transfer station.
Battery Safety & Disposal
Some batteries contain toxic metals, such as cadmium, lead or mercury, which pose a threat to human health and the environment when improperly disposed. Certain types of batteries can also pose a fire risk when damaged. Commercial Collection
Carver County has an open collection system for all commercial garbage collection. Businesses can contract directly with a hauler for collection services.

On-Site Disposal
In Carver County, NO person shall use or allow land under his or her ownership and/or control to be used for solid waste disposal purposes, including open burning or burying, except for the exceptions listed.
Open Burning
Open burning permits are required year round in Carver County, regardless of snow cover, for all fires except recreational fires under three feet in height and three feet in diameter.
