The County’s Contract and Purchasing Policy is administered by Administrative Services, which develops the necessary forms, procedures and instructions for the implementation of policies and procedures in conjunction with the County Attorney’s Office and the Risk Management & Safety Department.

The Finance Department maintains a Contract Summary which lists all new contracts on a quarterly basis. The Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards provides an annual summary of federal grant awards.

Lobbying Contracts 

Carver County has a contractual agreement with Poul Haas PA for legislative lobbyist services.  

Carver County also has a contractual agreement with Lockridge Grindal Nauen PLLP for Federal lobbyist services.

The County pays dues to the following associations that provide lobbying services: Minnesota Inter-County Association (MICA), Association of Minnesota Counties (AMC), and the National Association of Counties (NACo).

Grants to Non-Profits

Information on Carver County funding support of non-profits is captured “County Supported Agencies and Services” section of the Budget Book. The County has historically provided funding support to the CAP Agency, Carver County Agricultural Society, Sexual Violence Center, Southern Valley Alliance for Battered Women, and to local organizations for veterans for Memorial Day services.
