The Carver County Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) is part of a nationwide initiative to recruit and train volunteers. They help their communities respond to all types of health disasters. The MRC provides the opportunity for local volunteers to contribute their time and expertise in a public health emergency.
Volunteering with Carver County's Medical Reserve Corps
MRC volunteers must be Carver County residents who are 18 years old. You do not need a medical background to be a MRC volunteer.
How to Apply
All MRC volunteers should register at Minnesota Responds. Click the "REGISTER NOW" button to begin. Keep your user name and password in a safe place for use later.

Training
MRC volunteers will be offered opportunities for training and self-study online courses. Many classroom events are offered by other MRC units across the Minneapolis-St. Paul metro area. Volunteers can attend these classroom events and network with other responders. Topics to begin with include: Personal & Family Preparedness; Incident Command System; Mass Dispensing Sites (MDS), and Psychological First Aid (PFA).
