Carver County Emergency Management Responsibilities:
Carver County Emergency Management (CCEM) is located in the Sheriff's Office, and is generally responsible for coordinating emergency preparedness throughout the county. In addition to the writing and development of several types of emergency plans, CCEM offers public education and provides assistance to local jurisdictions and county agencies before, during, and after disasters strike.
CCEM works in collaboration with officials from local, state, and federal agencies, and also partners with neighboring jurisdictions to facilitate enhanced preparedness, response, and recovery from natural and human-made disasters.
Effective Emergency Management relies on building collaborative partnerships, as well as through integration of emergency planning and preparedness at all levels of government and non-government organizations.
