The Carver County Sheriff’s Office invites you to register your residential or business security camera(s) with our CommunityWatch program. The purpose of the CommunityWatch program is to foster a collaborative effort between the Sheriff’s Office and the citizens of Carver County to strengthen the investigative capabilities of the Sheriff’s Office as well as deter crime. The CommunityWatch program is essentially the “Neighborhood Watch” of the 21st century.
How It Works
When a crime occurs in your area, the Sheriff’s Office may contact you to see if you have security footage of the incident. If you have security footage of the incident, the Sheriff’s Office may request a copy of the footage for investigative and/or evidentiary purposes.
