The Government Data Practices Act (Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 13) presumes that government data are public unless a state or federal law classifies the data differently.  Carver County has two policies for requesting information that are linked below.  Individuals can find information they need in the policies about how to request data and the contact information for the department(s)/individual(s) that the request can be sent to.
