Small-scale and backyard poultry is emerging throughout Minnesota. Carver County and Scott County residents interested in this topic are invited to the University of Minnesota Extension’s Backyard & Small Flock Chicken Workshop from 5:30-7: p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 26, at Genesis Town and Country, 820 E Main St., Belle Plaine.
The workshop’s agenda is filled with multiple topics geared toward the needs of the beginning farmer, hobbyist or backyard producer and those who would like to raise birds on a small scale.
The registration fee for the workshop is $20 for adults, $10 for spouse/business partner, and $10 for students.
